This is the Birthday card I made for Tony’s grandma’s birthday. It’s a rabbit “leaping” over the cupcake. The hand lettering is on the inside. She turns “22” today!
The Au Vieux Panier Hotel
If i ever make a trip to Marseille, France this is where I’ll be staying! Artist, graphic designers, and painters were all invited to come decorate a room in their own style. Each room has a different artist and creates a completely unique experience! This room is called The Panic Room and was created by Artist Tilt. Don’t know how great of a nights sleep I’d get in there though.

This is a little more illustrative than lettering but oh well. My boyfriend’s grandma was born on Leap Day and next week she will technically turn 22 so I was playing around with a card I’m going to make her. I don’t think I’ll go in this direction though it looks more like a 2 year old than a 22/88 year old.
I’m going to attempt to practice my hand lettering every day. I’m hoping it to be more of inspiration or sketches for pieces that can later become vector art, but really it just keeps me entertained for a bit at my job. So here goes nothing… It has to go up from here, right?

I realize I’m about a month late on this… but better late than never. “2012 Goals” and surrounding design is all original vector work. Now I can hang this up and be reminded through the entire year.
